Growing up I remember spending time with my Grandfather drawing. He was an art teacher before he retired and some of my fondest memories of him were just having family visits and sneaking off with him to go draw together. As I grew older, I became a very artistic person. My love for drawing evolved into a love for creating things. Working with my high school art teacher, I would take an extra step in my art classes to give a practical function to my projects. I spent a lot of time in the art room and it became a second home to me. As an upperclassmen in high school I started getting experience with welding and construction design, as well as experience with three-dimensional design software. Looking to the future, I found a profession I love in the architecture program at Iowa State University. I love every second of the work and particularly enjoy designing complexes for things such as nature centers, hospitals, museums and education centers. Along with experience working on architectural projects, I have gained quite a bit of experience working with digital fabrication projects and landscape design projects throughout my time at Iowa State University.
